Makhtab

The Makhtab provides a nurturing environment for young children to develop a strong Islamic foundation. It introduces them to the basic principles of Islam, Quranic recitation, Islamic morals, and stories from Islamic history. By focusing on interactive learning and age-appropriate activities, Makhtabs lay the groundwork for children to grow as knowledgeable and practicing Muslims while fostering a love for Allah and His Messenger (peace be upon him).

Course Overview

The Makhtab is an Islamic school that focuses on providing religious education to young children.
Makhtabs serve as a foundation for young learners, introducing them to the basic principles of Islam in a nurturing and engaging environment.

Key Components

Quranic Recitation

Children are introduced to the Quran through simple recitation exercises.
Emphasis is placed on proper pronunciation of Arabic letters and basic Tajweed rules, creating a strong foundation for future Quranic learning.

Islamic Morals and Ethics

The Makhtab imparts essential Islamic morals and ethics to young learners.
Children are taught the importance of honesty, kindness, respect, sharing, and other virtues emphasized in Islam.

Daily Supplications (Duas)

Children are taught age-appropriate daily supplications (Duas) in Arabic.
They learn Duas for various occasions, such as waking up, eating, going to bed, and seeking Allah's blessings.

Stories from Islamic History

Basic Islamic Knowledge

Engaging stories from Islamic history and the lives of Prophets and companions are shared with children.
These stories inspire children and help them understand the values and teachings of Islam in a relatable manner.

Children are introduced to fundamental concepts of Islam, such as the five pillars of Islam (Shahada, Salah, Zakah, Sawm, Hajj) and the importance of unity in the Muslim community.
They also learn about basic Islamic rituals and practices, such as performing Wudu (ablution) and Salah (prayer).

Arabic Language

Makhtabs often include introductory lessons in the Arabic language.
Children learn Arabic alphabets, simple vocabulary, and phrases to develop a familiarity with the language of the Quran.
